Joe is a financial and management professional with more than 25 years of experience working in both for profit and non-profit environment. At HCM, he oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, developing and implementing policies and procedures and supporting client services.
Previously, as director of finance and administration for the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals and the American Society of Public Administrators, Joe was part of the organizations’ management teams that developed strategic plans and prepared operational and programmatic budgets. He also served as a representative to funders and constituents.
Joe was also responsible for overseeing operations, financial reporting, and compliance, directing and managing human resources, serving as the liaison to the board of directors, and managing programs and events. He was controller at Research Analysis Institute, a government contractor; Abrahams & Lowenstein, a law firm and accountant for Woodward & Dickerson, an international marketing and trading company; and Heffler & Company, a public accounting firm.
Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from LaSalle University in Philadelphia.
Joe lives in Washington, D.C. with his partner, John Whall. He enjoys biking, travel, movies, theater, and gummy bears.
