Alison Griffin

Alison Griffin has over ten years of professional experience in higher education policy ranging from work on a university campus, to the U.S. House of Representatives, to the public sector. Ms. Griffin is currently a senior associate with HCM Strategists and serves as the project manager for the Lumina Productivity initiative, and as the federal liaison for Lumina Foundation for Education. In addition, Ms. Griffin provides policy guidance and support for the firm's higher education clients. In previous work, Ms. Griffin has provided education consulting services to state and local governments, foundations, corporations, and countries seeking American education as a model. Her experience in higher education policy took shape when she served as a policy advisor on higher education issues to Chairman John Boehner at the House Committee on Education and the Workforce during 2001 and again from 2003-2006. During her tenure at the Committee, she focused on the issues of access, accountability, affordability, international and graduate education, and programs pertaining to minority serving institutions. Prior to her tenure on Capitol Hill, Ms. Griffin was a policy associate with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) in Washington, DC. She earned her M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia and her B.B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Business Policy and B.A. in Psychology from Southern Methodist University.

Ms. Griffin serves on the Board of Rocky Vista University, the National House Corporation of Delta Delta Delta International Fraternity, and is active in a variety of locally-based philanthropic endeavors.
