The partners of HCM Strategists are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students, parents, patients, and families. While sound public policy drives progress, it is in the clinic, lab, and classroom where daily lives are touched and improved. Our commitments to progress extend to the board service and financial contributions HCM's partners make to leaders in our Capitol community.

Carpenter's Shelter As the largest homeless shelter in Northern Virginia, Carpenter’s Shelter serves over 1,000 homeless and formerly homeless children and adults each year. Carpenter’s Shelter’s comprehensive continuum of care offers continuous services, aiding the chronically homeless and shelter residents through their transition back into independent living. They empower their clients to address the issues which led them to homelessness, and provide the tools necessary to achieve lasting independence. 90% of those who complete Carpenter Shelter's program never return to homelessness again.

Smith Center for Healing and the Arts Founded in 1996, Smith Center for Healing and the Arts is a nonprofit health, education, and arts organization offering integrative healing programs and resources that explore physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. They believe that healing is always possible, even if a cure is not. Dedicated to serving those affected by cancer, the Smith Center also offers many of their resources to the community at large, and serve thousands of people each year.

Whitman Walker Health. HIV infection rates in Washington, DC mirror those of West Africa, with 3 of 10 of our neighbors living with the infection. For more than three decades, the Clinic has provided high-quality, culturally sensitive health care to the Washington, DC's diverse urban community, with special expertise in LGBT and HIV care.

The William E Doar Jr. Public Charter School. School choice is a vibrant, necessary way to extend academic success and college preparation to more students. The William E Doar Jr. Public Charter School for the Performing Arts develops young leaders through its 6-day school week, which integrates arts and standards-based instruction.

CollegeBound:
The nation's economic future depends on increasing dramatically college completion rates for minority and low-income students. College Bound helps equip public school students in the Washington D.C. area with the academic and social tools and resources to aspire for, enroll, and succeed in postsecondary education.

Fight for Children:
The link between good health and academic performance is a critical factor when ensuring a successful future for kids. Fight For Children believes children need to be nurtured physically, emotionally, and mentally to maximize their potential in school and in life. As such, Fight For Children provides high quality healthcare and education opportunities for low income children of Washington, DC.
